PRESS RELEASE: Book Release, Grand Opening and Mural Unveiling

Omaha, NE: In response to attacks on LGBTQAI2S+ rights, Queerarchy, a local Black and queer-owned business, is set to release a self published queer-focused children’s book.

The Pinapel and Friends. Who are they? book is an entertaining story that teaches compassion and understanding while being inclusive and normalizing gender pronouns. The book provides a space to explore gender identity, gender expression and the use of gender pronouns in an age appropriate and fun way.

Pinapel and Friends. Who Are They? is a great way to start conversations around gender and identity with children, and to help them understand the importance of respecting the gender identity and pronouns of others. The book also includes a resource guide for parents and educators to learn more about the use of gender pronouns, gender expression and queer inclusiveness.

In the charming series debut, Pinapel and Friends. Who are they?, you'll meet a diverse LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive cast of characters and friends. Pinapel has just moved into a new neighborhood, and the neighbors are excited to meet a new friend! Not assigning any gender roles, everyone asks questions using they, them, and their as pronouns.

Pinapel and Friends. Who Are They? is an important book that is sure to be a hit with children and parents alike. It is available now from Queerarchy™ for pre-order online at www.queerarchy.com.

This self-published book introduces readers to the cute and whimsical, LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive world created, written and illustrated by Rowena B. Bennett, local Black and queer artist and founder of Queerarchy™.

Queerachy™ is on a mission to inspire self-love and self-acceptance and to affirm gender identity and gender expression while changing the narrative around the use of gender pronouns so that everyone can live their life their way with pride and dignity.

Queerarchy™ is hosting a grand opening Thursday, March 2nd, 6pm to 8pm at 1301 Nicholas St, Studio #321, Omaha, NE 68102 (located inside Hot Shops Art Center). The grand opening will include prizes, free character balloons for the first 30 kids, a mural unveiling and a live reading of the book.
